Short Film Storyboarding (4/9)

I wasn’t really sure what the specifics of my story or concept would be before I started the storyboard, but all I did know is that I didn’t want it to be too simple. Since I didn’t really have a set idea I just decided to draw whatever scenes/ideas for the storyboard that came to mind. As I did that my story started to come together. My film starts with a scene where I’m walking in the park and I meet myself from the future. That part is supposed to be a dream I had and it will be animated (partially to make up for the fact that I want two versions of myself in the same frame, and I guess it could help establish that the scene is not reality). From there it’s mostly b-roll footage of me doing random tasks or things in my room or around my house which is supposed to convey a sense of boredom. While the b-roll footage is playing I plan on using a voiceover of the letter from my future self, that is up until the scene where I check the mail and see that I received a letter from myself (from the future). The letter I get is supposed to be like reassurance or encouragement to my current self, so the last scene or two after I get the letter I want to convey that. I haven’t finished the storyboard, I haven’t drawn the last scene or two but an idea I had was to show a clip of me walking in the same park that I was in the opening scene (minus running into future me).
